Welcome to Monte Cecilia Catholic School.
Set in the heart of Auckland's new premier Monte Cecilia park, we are an urban school with a rural setting.
Overlooking the fabulous Manukau Harbour and adjacent to the historic Pah Homestead, there has been a school on the site for over 100 years.
Our students are fantastic, our staff are awesome and our community is sensational!

MONTE VISION
Our vision at Monte is to enable every student to be a successful learner. There is no one best way to do this, no one size and no one method that fits everyone.
We must take a holistic approach to ensure that all our students are ready and able to learn every day, and every day is different.
Students who are sad, angry, confused, stressed, anxious etc. will have just as much difficulty learning as those students who have autism, ADHD, dyslexia or behavior problems etc.
Sometimes it is more important for a student to learn to deal with their anger than it is to learn times-tables. A student coming to grips with a death in the family cannot be an effective learner in the classroom.
In a world that gets more complex each day, we need to equip our students with a wide variety of navigation skills for the road ahead.
The traditional 3 R’s of education aren’t enough to ensure safe travel anymore. Whilst literacy and numeracy are important, so is creativity and imagination and believing that with God, nothing is impossible.
We use the following statement to keep us focused on who we are and what we believe in. They encompass the vision, principals and values of the NZ curriculum. They encompass our gospel and mercy values. They encompass the key competencies that will enable us to be
successful 21st Century learners and they encompass who we want to be as individuals and as a community.

Uniforms
Uniforms Plus has been bought by Postie
Plus. All uniform items can now be purchased from the
Onehunga Postie Plus store,
198-202,Onehunga Mall.

Car Park
All parents, children and staff are to use the footpaths provided and are to avoid walking through the carpark as little as possible.
The footpath up to the office is to be used for all pedestrian entry and exit.
Afternoon pick up is from the bus shelter.
There is no access up to the school past the new car park other than for, Contractors, Service, Delivery and or Emergency vehicles.
Please ensure all people who may drop off or pick up your children are aware of this.
