Dear Parents and Monte Community,

As you will know from the media, the coronavirus is a fast developing situation which is being monitored closely by our Ministry of Health. At this stage the Ministry is advising that there are no reported cases in New Zealand and that the risk of an outbreak is low. However, Monte Cecilia Catholic School, along with many schools, will follow these outlined precautionary measures:

•       Any student/teacher who has recently travelled to China is encouraged to stay home in isolation             for 14 days from the date they arrived back in New Zealand.
•       If the student/teacher is symptom free following these 14 days then they can return to school.
•       Any student/teacher who exhibits flu like symptoms must visit their family doctor and follow                   medical advice.

Further advice can be found on the following links: from Ministry of Health
